The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, C.D Los Rayos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Alvarenga in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Agustin Hinguanzo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Mejia in the 13th minute of play forced Brompton's goalkeeper Primitivo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Alvarez in the 16th minute of the match. Arnoldo Mejia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Mendoza kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Arnoldo Mejia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Boianelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Primitivo Pinho having to make a save. Arnoldo Mejia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Primitivo Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Primitivo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Alvarez in the 35th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, C.D Los Rayos's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Sosa came free, but Agustin Hinguanzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Mejia in the 42nd minute of the match. Cristian Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. The supporters of Brompton booed when C.D Los Rayos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Botello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brompton's Marcos Sosa got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in C.D Los Rayos's zone, Marcos Sosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustin Hinguanzo came out of the goal and Marcos Sosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd match minute, C.D Los Rayos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Alvarez in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Arnoldo Mejia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustin Hinguanzo came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Brompton's Cristian Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Cristian Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Leonel Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Primitivo Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Primitivo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Mejia in the 77th minute of the match. Agustin Hinguanzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Mendoza in the 81st minute of play.
