After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Cristian Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brompton's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yasir Bran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25thth minute of the game Marcos Sosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gillingham FC's Yasir Bran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Milton Granados who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Primitivo Pinho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasir Bran having to interfere. Gillingham FC's Yasir Bran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Sosa in the 34th minute of play. Cristian Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fidel Mendoza's late challenge caught a Gillingham FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Mendoza helped the player get up and apologised. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Sosa made a kick off. Yasir Bran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Sosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute.
