Leopoldo Corrales made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The audience was convinced that Jaime Rojas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Corrales was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Hugo Ricos short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Leopoldo Corrales to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ricardo Zapata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rothley City's Leopoldo Corrales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Rojas in the 86th minute of play. Hugo Rico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Leopoldo Corrales made a huge save. After 94 played minutes Rothley City got a freekick which was hit by Amilcar Hernández. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Crystal Palace FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
