With a little luck, Southall City's Emerson Salinas got control of the ball when Milton Del Carmen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Efrain Peredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yarm FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Efrain Peredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Salinas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 13 played minutes Southall City got a freekick which was hit by Hector Montes. When Efrain Peredes came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Yarm FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Peredes couldn't finish the play. Yarm FC's Rony Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Cruz in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Hector Montes had to leave the field with a concussion. 18 minutes into the game, Jaime Galeas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yarm FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Southall City the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Huezo in the 24th minute of play forced Yarm FC's goalkeeper Rony Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efrain Peredes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leopoldo Pimentel during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Southall City booed when Yarm FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ismael Huezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 65 minutes, Milton Del Carmen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yarm FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milton Del Carmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Milton Del Carmen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Milton Del Carmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Emerson Salinas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Efrain Peredes took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emerson Salinas. Emerson Salinas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Emerson Salinas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Peredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yarm FC's zone, Dagoberto Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony Ribeiro came out of the goal and Dagoberto Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ismael Huezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Ribeiro having to interfere. The Southall City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
