In the 7th minute of the match Primitivo Barrera sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Dubon skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quinton United's zone, Edgar Villacorta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Dubon came out of the goal and Edgar Villacorta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edgar Villacorta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Stanway City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Machado fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 18th minute, Josue Garay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josue Llorente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Edgar Villacorta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quinton United's Gilberto Dubon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josue Llorente in the 27th minute of play. Edgar Villacorta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gilberto Dubon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Stanway City's Edgar Villacorta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Dubon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Quinton United booed when Stanway City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Zelaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josue Llorente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Dubon having to interfere. Gilberto Dubon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Villacorta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Quinton United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stanway City were winning 0-1.

With a little luck, Quinton United's Gilberto Dubon got control of the ball when Josue Llorente tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saul Umanzor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Toledano having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stanway City's Primitivo Barrera got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stanway City's goalkeeper Ulises Toledano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Josue Llorente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Edgar Villacorta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Cristian Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quinton United's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Toledano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Stanway City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
