They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ricardo Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 70 minutes of play, Aveley's Edgardo Asad made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jhonnatan Mejia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgardo Asad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Jhonnatan Mejia made a huge save. Aveley's Alberto Villarreal got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgardo Asad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jhonnatan Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Villarreal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Aveley left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PORTO.
