After having played for 4 minutes, Hugo Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stoke Poges United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Stoke Poges United's Hugo Lara in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stockport's goalie prevented a goal. After 9 played minutes Stoke Poges United got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Lara. After 15 minutes of play, Stoke Poges United's Hugo Lara made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Santamaria was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Sigaran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Camilo Santamaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Stockport's Gilberto Villarreal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yasir Castillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stockport's Camilo Santamaria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Lara in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Stoke Poges United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Aguilar to maneuver through the defense. If Eliseo Villarreal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute, Alfredo Aguilar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Camilo Santamaria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Sigaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If David Sigaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stoke Poges United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! Eliseo Villarreal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yasir Castillo having to make a save. Stockport's Camilo Santamaria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Stockport from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Paolo Sifon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Stoke Poges United's zone, Gilberto Villarreal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yasir Castillo came out of the goal and Gilberto Villarreal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stockport's Gilberto Villarreal got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Aguilar kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Yasir Castillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Villarreal in the 79th minute of the match. If Gilberto Villarreal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eliseo Villarreal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Hugo Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yasir Castillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Villarreal in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Eliseo Villarreal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yasir Castillo. Stoke Poges United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Villarreal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. David Sigaran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Camilo Santamaria made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stockport fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stoke Poges United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
