After a defensive mix-up in Quimistan FC's zone, Primitivo Berrueta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yasir Castro came out of the goal and Primitivo Berrueta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Edgardo Ruiz came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Tollesbury United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Ruiz couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Cruz was the one to do the kick off. Ladislao Arellano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a left leg Ladislao Arellano saved Tollesbury United from getting behind. Primitivo Berruetas short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Yasir Castro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Primitivo Berrueta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Yasir Castro made a huge save. The Quimistan FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tollesbury United's performance. The match ended with a win for Tollesbury United.
