Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zelvin Castro started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute of the match, Guillermo Navas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Waldir Parada saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 12 minutes into the game, Edgardo Umaña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stocksbridge AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batley the free kick. A collision led to Stocksbridge AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Edgardo Umaña hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge AFC's goalkeeper Waldir Parada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primitivo Amaya. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Waldir Parada successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Christian Hidalgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zelvin Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Batley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Talia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Rivero in the 20th minute of play forced Batley's goalkeeper Christian Hidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Stocksbridge AFC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Stocksbridge AFC's Zelvin Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zelvin Castro in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Hidalgo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Batley's Christian Hidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Rivero in the 30th minute of play. Edgardo Umaña kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Henry Rivero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Guillermo Navas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Waldir Parada, passed just outside the right post. 45 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge AFC's Henry Rivero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Hidalgo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Antonio Morales kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Zelvin Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hidalgo having to interfere. Henry Rivero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hidalgo having to interfere. Waldir Parada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Amaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 63 played minutes Stocksbridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Morales. After 64 played minutes, Batley's Carmelo Barreto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Waldir Parada came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Batley reached it. Zelvin Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Hidalgo having to interfere. Guillermo Navas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Parada having to interfere. When Batley's Primitivo Amaya in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stocksbridge AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Primitivo Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batley's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Amaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Parada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry Rivero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Hidalgo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Primitivo Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Waldir Parada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Stocksbridge AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stocksbridge AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
