Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Orlando Morales started the match with the kick off. If Manuel Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christian Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Machado in the 7th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nelson Giron during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nelson Giron hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Primitivo Rivero was a little too slow when Guillermo Navas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cheltenham AFC's Primitivo Rivero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Navas in the 23rd minute of play. Christian Hidalgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Morales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Orlando Morales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christian Hidalgo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Christian Hidalgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Mena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guillermo Navas made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Navas in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primitivo Rivero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Primitivo Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Rivero came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Batley's Primitivo Amaya. But to his dismay, Primitivo Amaya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 63rd minute, Cheltenham AFC's Orlando Morales ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christian Hidalgo. Christian Hidalgo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Christian Hidalgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Morales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Cheltenham AFC's Saul Hidalgo to fire away a dangerous shot which Christian Hidalgo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Guillermo Navas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Navas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Batley's zone, Manuel Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Hidalgo came out of the goal and Manuel Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Batley getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Guillermo Navas hit a great ball. Primitivo Rivero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Navas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Batley booed when Cheltenham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Mena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Batley's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carmelo Barreto in the 94th minute. Carmelo Barreto made a great header on Batley's corner, it was just that Cheltenham AFC's Primitivo Rivero managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Cheltenham AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Edgardo Alvarado hit a great ball. Batley's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
