Omar Bustamante struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Arturo Alferez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras Britanica. Edgar Murgas might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Primitivo Portillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Murgas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Wilmer Salamanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Flores kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th minute Edgar Murgas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Portillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primitivo Portillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilmer Salamanca in the 29th minute. Wilmer Salamanca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Primitivo Portillo made a huge save. Arturo Alferez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Bustamante went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Honduras Britanica were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Murgas made a kick off. Omar Bustamante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Alferez having to interfere. In the 66th minute Jorge Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Alferez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorge Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Carmelo Del Cid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Edgar Murgas made a precise shot to the right of Primitivo Portillo. Honduras Britanica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Primitivo Portillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Murgas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honduras Britanica's Omar Larios got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Omar Larios off the ground. Primitivo Portillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Murgas, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Avilio Monzon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras Britanica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pensby the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Murgas in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primitivo Portillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Wilmer Salamanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pensby were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Honduras Britanica for a fine match.
