The crowd rose to their feet as OLIMPIA's Rolando Escalante slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Libardo Rodriguez. That made the score 2-0 after 9 minutes of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Josue Cabrera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but OLIMPIA's Pablo Villarreal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Rolando Escalante took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Libardo Rodriguez to make any attempt to save it. In the 18th minute, Alberto Santamaria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Billericay's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Escalante came free, but Libardo Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Libardo Rodriguez managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when OLIMPIA's Omar Nunes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Josue Cabrera scored 3-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Villarreal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Billericay's Libardo Rodriguez got control of the ball when Omar Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rolando Escalante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Escalante in the 44th minute of play forced OLIMPIA's goalkeeper Pablo Villarreal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Josue Cabrera to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Max Escalante could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Pablo Villarreal however easily saved by the left post. In the 53rd minute, Jairo Hinguanzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 56 minutes, Rolando Escalante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OLIMPIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Escalante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Escalante in the 60th minute of play forced Billericay's goalkeeper Libardo Rodriguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Escalante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Libardo Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. OLIMPIA made a substitution. Isaac Guerra replaced Rolando Escalante. Cristian Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Libardo Rodriguez having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Billericay got a freekick which was hit by Rudy Giron. Isaac Guerra scored 4-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Libardo Rodriguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pablo Villarreal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Max Escalante in the 79th minute. Libardo Rodriguez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Nunes went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Omar Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Libardo Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Omar Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Barquero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pablo Villarreal. OLIMPIA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 95th minute Omar Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Libardo Rodriguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
