Julio Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rony Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Fidel Pedrozo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of Pingaseca booed when Girton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amilcar Asad didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Angel Huezo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rony Moreno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Diego Castillo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Pingaseca's Douglas Bran. Douglas Bran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rony Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Huezo in the 24th minute of play. Angel Huezo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Rony Moreno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Angel Huezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Douglas Bran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Canales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseo Canales stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Max Hernández notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Pingaseca's Douglas Bran. Douglas Bran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 56thth minute of the game Angel Huezo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girton's Rony Moreno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Pingaseca's goalkeeper Douglas Bran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Castillo. After having played for 87 minutes, Diego Castillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Girton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Castillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alejandro Salguero was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Girton's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
