Angel Huezos short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Alvaro Flores to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Angel Huezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alvaro Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Rico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Flores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pingaseca's zone, Juan Guardado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Bran came out of the goal and Juan Guardado tried to chip the ball over his head. After having played for 31 minutes, Angel Huezo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pingaseca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Huezo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Douglas Bran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Guardado, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 39thth minute of the game Julio Rico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whitton FC's Alvaro Flores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If William Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

With his leg Douglas Bran managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Whitton FC's Juan Guardado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
