Alberto Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Bermudez in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Alejandro Aguirrez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Aguilar. Hurworth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejandro Aguirrez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Hurworth's zone, Henry Bermudez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Aguilar came out of the goal and Henry Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejandro Aguirrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Alberto Aguilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltazar Villalobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Bermudez in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Northampton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Gomez to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Will Barragan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Alejandro Aguirrez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Hurworth getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Luis Guardado hit a great ball. After 35 minutes Hurworth's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Victorino Mena who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Northampton United's corner Victorino Mena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alberto Aguilar quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Alejandro Aguirrez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northampton United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Aguirrez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mario Valenzuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Suarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejandro Aguirrez to make the kick off. Henry Bermudez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alberto Aguilar came out and tried to block the shot, but Henry Bermudez slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 56th minute. Henry Bermudez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Alberto Aguilar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Baltazar Villalobos came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Hurworth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltazar Villalobos couldn't finish the play. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hurworth! Victorino Mena walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 75th minute, Northampton United's Alejandro Aguirrez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Northampton United's Mario Valenzuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Villalobos in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Alvaro Gomez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Henry Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northampton United's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Bermudez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Aguilar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Northampton United's Mario Valenzuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Suarez in the 89th minute of play. Hurworth's Alberto Aguilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Hurworth from getting a goal against them. 97 minutes into the match, Hurworth's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Aguirrez came free, but Alberto Aguilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hurworth's Cesar Bautista got a free kick in the 97th minute. Alberto Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Aguirrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
