Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulises Paz took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Rene Espindola fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redruth's protests and gave Rene Espindola a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Zelvin Navas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 24th minute Ulises Paz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Peña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Selvin Pedrozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Ulises Paz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 31st minute, Shawn Molina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Zelvin Navas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, Alresford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shawn Molina to maneuver through the defense. With his leg David Peña managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Redruth's Zelvin Navas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alresford AFC's Eliseo Cortez got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Selvin Pedrozo made a kick off. In the 65th minute Ulises Paz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Peña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Redruth's Zelvin Navas got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Peña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Paz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Selvin Pedrozo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francisco Orellana. Selvin Pedrozo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 73 minutes into the match, Redruth's goal looked a bit too open when Selvin Pedrozo came free, but Francisco Orellana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Redruth's Francisco Salguero got a free kick in the 77th minute. Selvin Pedrozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Orellana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Alresford AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Rolando Barrera hit a great ball. The supporters of Redruth booed when Alresford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shawn Molina didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 played minutes, Redruth's Alvaro Escalante shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Peña came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Redruth reached it. Francisco Orellana made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Eliseo Cortez sent off a good shot on target. Ulises Paz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Redruth booed when Alresford AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Redruth's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
