Shawn Carballo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Gamero having to interfere. After 16 minutes of play, Shenley United's Guillermo Posadas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marvin Guardado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Granados recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 24 played minutes, Wimborne City's Giovani Navas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edgardo Gamero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wimborne City reached it. Shawn Carballo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Edgardo Gamero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wimborne City. Wimborne City's Marvin Guardado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Wimborne City from getting a goal against them. Will Renderos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Shenley United's Guillermo Posadas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marvin Guardado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Shenley United's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Granados came free, but Edgardo Gamero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shenley United's Will Renderos got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shawn Carballo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Rafael Amaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wimborne City's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Amaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Gamero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Shawn Carballo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luis Granados had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marvin Guardado came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Shenley United's Guillermo Posadas. But to his dismay, Guillermo Posadas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marvin Guardado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Renderos, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Guillermo Posadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Marvin Guardado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Posadas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Wimborne City's goal looked a bit too open when Will Renderos came free, but Marvin Guardado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Shenley United's Guillermo Posadas made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marvin Guardado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Granados might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgardo Gamero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Granados ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Wimborne City's Shawn Carballo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgardo Gamero. That made the score 3-1 after 87 minutes of play. In the 95th minute, Will Renderos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shenley United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The Shenley United players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
