The audience was convinced that Yasir Vinosis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marvin Guardado was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Gervaso Lubiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marvin Guardado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Shawn Carballo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Daryl King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Olimpia's goalkeeper Daryl King, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mark Ning struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marvin Guardado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Olimpia. The audience was convinced that Antonio Zapata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marvin Guardado was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half Real Olimpia were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With an all-out effort, Real Olimpia's Marvin Guardado threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antonio Zapata, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alexis Martinez's late challenge caught a Real Olimpia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Marvin Guardado was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Antonio Zapata capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antonio Zapata really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. The Wimborne City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Olimpia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
