Ernesto Villatoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rudy Viscarra fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lytham's protests and gave Rudy Viscarra a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lytham's Rudy Viscarra got a free kick in the 16th minute. When Allan Huezo came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Wath upon Dearne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Huezo couldn't finish the play. Sarbelio Vasquez hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Villatoro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felipe Carballo was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Lytham's Sarbelio Vasquez got a free kick in the 26th minute. Allan Huezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Felipe Carballo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Allan Huezo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wath upon Dearne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Huezo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernesto Villatoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Carballo having to interfere. In the 34thth minute of the game Allan Huezo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lytham's Felipe Carballo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rudy Viscarra got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 35 played minutes Lytham got a freekick which was hit by Rudy Viscarra. After a defensive mix-up in Lytham's zone, Ernesto Villatoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Carballo came out of the goal and Ernesto Villatoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Huezo in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Carballo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Allan Huezo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Wath upon Dearne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Huezo couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Villatoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Carballo having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvador Garay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Villatoro in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Felipe Carballo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Salvador Garay came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Lytham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Garay couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lytham's goalkeeper Felipe Carballo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Huezo in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felipe Carballo saved Lytham from getting behind. Juan Melendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sarbelio Vasquez in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Huezo in the 65th minute of play forced Lytham's goalkeeper Felipe Carballo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Allan Huezo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Felipe Carballo, 0-1. When Allan Huezo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Wath upon Dearne fans jumped to their feet. Sarbelio Vasquez's late challenge caught a Wath upon Dearne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Lytham fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wath upon Dearne were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
