The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gabriel Velis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arturo Magaña succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. In the 21st minute, Félix Del Cid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Arturo Magaña came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Alveley United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Magaña couldn't finish the play. Ramon Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Gomez, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Escobar in the 34th minute of play forced Alveley United's goalkeeper Hugo Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, Alveley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Valenzuela to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes, Chapel en le frith's Edgar Moreira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hugo Prado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chapel en le frith reached it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

58 minutes into the match, Alveley United's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Escobar came free, but Hugo Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Alveley United's zone, Richard Escobar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Prado came out of the goal and Richard Escobar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 62 played minutes Alveley United got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Anaya. Gabriel Velis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hugo Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Alveley United's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Escobar came free, but Hugo Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Alveley United's goalkeeper Hugo Prado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Velis. Hugo Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Escobar in the 71st minute of play. Gabriel Velis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Prado made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Gabriel Velis sent off a good shot on target. Richard Escobar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Hugo Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Mauro Anaya's late challenge caught a Chapel en le frith's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Anaya helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes Alveley United got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Anaya. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
