Duda Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Josue Velis came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Real España fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josue Velis couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Real España's Roberto Mondragon seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roberto Mondragon the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Real España protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roberto Mondragon had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 9th minute, one of Real España:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real España. Real España:s Joselito Villanueva showed great skill when he stopped Raúl Orobio:s penalty. Joselito Villanueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Magaña in the 15th minute of play. Josue Velis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Anaya in the 22nd minute of play forced Real España's goalkeeper Joselito Villanueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joselito Villanueva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real España's attentive Duda Souza managed to snatch the ball when Eraldo Corpeño made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Josue Velis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Real España's Edgardo Arango got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The Real España players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alveley United were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Ribeiro to make the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Real España's Josue Velis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Prado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Ribeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Prado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Ribeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. 60 minutes into the match, Josue Velis notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Alveley United's Hugo Prado. Hugo Prado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute Pedro Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Real España's Josue Velis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Prado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Prado having to make a save. Real España's Félix Mena was substituted for Elias Braun. If Josue Velis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Alveley United defense, Josue Velis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Prado. The Alveley United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Prado should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Real España were the better team. Real España's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
