Yasir Torres started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yasir Torres in the 7th minute of play forced Pocklington's goalkeeper Edwin Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Messias in the 8th minute. Fidel Mena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marcos Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Mena, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Olimpia's zone, Alfredo Vinosis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Ribeiro came out of the goal and Alfredo Vinosis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Club Deportivo Olimpia booed when Pocklington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Escalante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Vinosis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Ribeiro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Alfredo Vinosis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pocklington's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Vinosis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fidel Mena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Alfredo Vinosis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Vinosis made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Olimpia's Pablo Alas got a free kick in the 51st minute. Abraham Alferez kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Marcos Ribeiro was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Alfredo Vinosis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredo Vinosis really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Elias Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pocklington's Edwin Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Messias in the 67th minute of play. When Will Villanueva fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pocklington's protests and gave Will Villanueva a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes Pocklington got a freekick which was hit by Will Villanueva. 82 minutes into the match, Will Bermudez sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Marcos Ribeiro threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Will Bermudez this time. Andrés Huezo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pocklington's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Libardo Umaña was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportivo Olimpia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Club Deportivo Olimpia's Henry Flores getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Yasir Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Edwin Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pocklington eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
