The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Saul Lima got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Esteban Zepeda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Gallegos was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Francisco Gallegos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Pacheco in the 11th minute of the match. Francisco Gallegos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Zepeda's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Alexis Pacheco struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Francisco Gallegos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egremont AFC. Francisco Gallegos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 21 minutes into the match, South Woodham Ferrers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Zepeda came free, but Francisco Gallegos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Egremont AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Lima came free, but Mariano Huezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Saul Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Gallegos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Zepeda's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Zepeda in the 29th minute of play forced South Woodham Ferrers FC's goalkeeper Francisco Gallegos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egremont AFC were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after South Woodham Ferrers FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilberto Torres took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in South Woodham Ferrers FC's zone, Omar Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Gallegos came out of the goal and Omar Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Galdamez got free with Mariano Huezo in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esteban Zepeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Gallegos having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saul Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match Danilo Corpeño sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Gallegos skillfully saved the ball. Alexis Pacheco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Francisco Gallegos made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, Egremont AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Lima came free, but Mariano Huezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Gallegos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Zepeda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteban Zepeda struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Francisco Gallegos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egremont AFC. After having played for 63 minutes, Alexis Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egremont AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexis Pacheco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Esteban Zepeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Zepeda struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Francisco Gallegos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egremont AFC. Henry Galdamez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Esteban Zepeda took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Francisco Gallegos to make any attempt to save it. After 84 played minutes Egremont AFC got a freekick which was hit by Julio Mora. Saul Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Mariano Huezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudy Espindola took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mariano Huezo. Egremont AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Egremont AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
