Yasir Torres started the match with the kick off. Club Deportivo Olimpia's Elias Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of FC Barandillas booed when Club Deportivo Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Alferez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Metin Başhekim struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Marcos Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barandillas. Francesco Tarantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th match minute, Club Deportivo Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Medrano to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Tarantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Avilio Orellana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francesco Tarantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Marcos Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Club Deportivo Olimpia's Marcos Ribeiro got control of the ball when Dino Fantozzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute, Francesco Tarantini fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcos Ribeiro, passed just outside the right post. In the 27th minute, Dino Fantozzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Barandillas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Dino Fantozzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dino Fantozzi ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Tarantini in the 31st minute of play forced Club Deportivo Olimpia's goalkeeper Marcos Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francesco Tarantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 played minutes Club Deportivo Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Elias Messias. In the 38th minute, Francesco Tarantini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dino Fantozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francesco Tarantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51stth minute of the game Francesco Tarantini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportivo Olimpia's Marcos Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcos Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Tarantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Libardo Umaña charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Libardo Umaña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Libardo Umaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Zaldaña came free, but Marcos Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Tarantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Tarantini in the 70th minute of the match. Marcos Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Fantozzi in the 74th minute of play. When FC Barandillas's Metin Başhekim in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Deportivo Olimpia's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Tarantini in the 80th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Olimpia's goalkeeper Marcos Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Fantozzi in the 86th minute of the match. Marcos Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Tarantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Olimpia's Henry Flores got a free kick in the 89th minute. Dino Fantozzi took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Ribeiro. Marcos Ribeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When FC Barandillas's Dino Fantozzi in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Deportivo Olimpia's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Barandillas fully deserved thier win.
