The referee ignored Baldock FC's protests and gave Rony Montes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Baldock FC's Rony Montes got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Alexis Pacheco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Egremont AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Emiliano Villanueva put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mariano Huezo. Rony Montes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mariano Huezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Duarte's late challenge caught a Baldock FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omar Duarte helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Egremont AFC's Omar Duarte got a free kick in the 44th minute. When Rony Montes came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Baldock FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Montes couldn't finish the play. Alexis Pacheco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Esteban Zepeda to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Huezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mariano Huezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Egremont AFC's zone, Alfredo Huezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Huezo came out of the goal and Alfredo Huezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Rony Montes made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Huezo. Egremont AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. If Rony Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Huezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mariano Huezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Emiliano Villanueva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Huezo in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Huezo saved Egremont AFC from getting behind. Rony Montes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mariano Huezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Alfredo Huezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Huezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Huezo might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Huezo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Huezo ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldock FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
