Motagua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Woodham Ferrers FC the free kick. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Eraldo Díaz sped through South Woodham Ferrers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Francisco Gallegos. If Saul Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Hidalgo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. South Woodham Ferrers FC's Francisco Gallegos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Díaz in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, South Woodham Ferrers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Díaz came free, but Francisco Gallegos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Gallegos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Díaz in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Pedro Hidalgo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Eraldo Díaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francisco Gallegos. Eraldo Díaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. When the match was over Motagua could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than South Woodham Ferrers FC throughout the match.
