The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Guerra during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 17 played minutes Aslan FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Guerra. In the 17th minute, Isaac Gomez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Aslan FC's Edgar Medrano didn't even have to move. 19 minutes into the match, Aslan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Bautista came free, but Edgar Medrano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Aslan FC booed when Club Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pedrozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Medrano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Zepeda in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Aslan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Bautista came free, but Edgar Medrano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Luis Zepeda came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Club Olimpia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Zepeda couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the game, Ulises Zepeda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aslan FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Olimpia the free kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Barreto to make the kick off. With a little luck, Aslan FC's Edgar Medrano got control of the ball when Luis Zepeda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Club Olimpia's Mauro Bautista in the 71st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Edgar Medrano was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Aslan FC through an amazing save. In the 73rd match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Pedrozo to maneuver through the defense. Luis Zepeda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, Mauro Bautista fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edgar Medrano, passed just outside the right post. Luis Zepeda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
