Augusto Najarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Libardo Torres in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, kevin f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Cetino came free, but Antonio Mondragon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Gallegos fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored kevin f.c.'s protests and gave Daniel Gallegos a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for kevin f.c.! In the 23rd minute, Rolando Galeas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galaxia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Gabriel Cetino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Lovo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Antonio Mondragon made a huge save. Augusto Najarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Padilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Cetino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Antonio Mondragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Efren Alfaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Oscar Padilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augusto Najarro. Galaxia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Padilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ruben Posadas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Cetino was the one to do the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Cetino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Lovo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Mondragon having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Libardo Torres got free with Augusto Najarro in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Galaxia FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
