Seating: 1853, VIP seats: 0) Luis Zepeda's late challenge caught a East Dereham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Zepeda helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Olimpia's Luis Zepeda got a free kick in the 2nd minute. East Dereham's Ronald Espindola came free and shot a quick shot against goal 4 minutes in the game, fortunately Eraldo Hidalgo had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Montes in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eraldo Hidalgo saved Club Olimpia from getting behind. When Ronald Espindola came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the East Dereham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronald Espindola couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mauro Bautista sped through East Dereham's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolás Vasquez. Ronald Espindola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Eraldo Hidalgo made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Luis Zepeda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Olimpia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luis Zepeda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nicolás Vasquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Nicolás Vasquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Bautista in the 23rd minute of play. Club Olimpia's Luis Zepeda got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Luis Zepeda made a precise shot to the right of Nicolás Vasquez. East Dereham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Ramon Montes made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Mauro Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Olimpia's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Bautista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolás Vasquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. East Dereham's Nicolás Vasquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Bautista in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Mauro Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Olimpia's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Bautista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolás Vasquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mauro Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in East Dereham's zone, Luis Zepeda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolás Vasquez came out of the goal and Luis Zepeda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Velis during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to East Dereham getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Daniel Velis hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in East Dereham's zone, Luis Zepeda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolás Vasquez came out of the goal and Luis Zepeda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. East Dereham's Nicolás Vasquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save East Dereham from getting a goal against them. Club Olimpia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
