Avilio Salguero's late challenge caught a Harlesden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avilio Salguero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Wilmer Melendez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Venganza's Rolando Guardado didn't even have to move. Salvador Zapata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Avilio Salguero went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the game, Luis Rey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harlesden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venganza the free kick. Hector Cerritos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvador Zapata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Christian Martinez came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Venganza fans jumped to their feet. Salvador Zapata went to the wrong direction when Amilcar Orobio was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 80th minute Hector Cerritos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Guardado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilmer Melendez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Guardado. Venganza's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hector Cerritos struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Rolando Guardado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harlesden. After having played for 95 minutes, Hector Cerritos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
