After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Wilmer Bentos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nazarenos's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilmer Bentos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Guardado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st match minute, Venganza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avilio Salguero to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Venganza booed when Nazarenos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Bran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venganza's Amilcar Orobio got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Antonio Barragan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Nazarenos players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
