In the 22nd minute, Ismael Peredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolás Vasquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Peredes in the 28th minute. Hugo Hurtado kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Ladislao Mondragon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Espindola in the 33rd minute of play forced NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS's goalkeeper Benjamín García to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ladislao Mondragon was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, NACIONAL DE BARRANDILLAS's Benjamín García got control of the ball when Ronald Espindola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ismael Peredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolás Vasquez having to interfere. Ismael Peredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Nicolás Vasquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Peredes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolás Vasquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, one of East Dereham:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for East Dereham. Ladislao Mondragon kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Mondragon in the 86th minute of play forced East Dereham's goalkeeper Nicolás Vasquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Ronald Espindola managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Dereham's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronald Espindola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamín García breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
