Galaxia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Lovo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Lovo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Edgar Medrano made a huge save. A collision led to Galaxia FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Benjamín Palma hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Benjamín Palma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gilberto Lovo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aslan FC's Edgar Medrano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Aslan FC from getting a goal against them. Gilberto Lovo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 35th playminute. After some careless play in the Galaxia FC defense, Augusto Díaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Najarro. The Galaxia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Najarro should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Díaz made a kick off. The supporters of Aslan FC booed when Galaxia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamín Palma didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 54 in the game by Alberto Barreto from a close distance when the talented Augusto Najarro managed to make a qualified save. Galaxia FC's players were relieved. Augusto Díaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Augusto Najarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Barreto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Najarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Edgar Medrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Cetino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Gilberto Lovo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Medrano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcelo Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Galaxia FC's Augusto Najarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Díaz in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Galaxia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Collado to maneuver through the defense. Galaxia FC's Gilberto Lovo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Barreto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Augusto Najarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aslan FC's Edgar Medrano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Lovo in the 85th minute of play. Augusto Najarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Díaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Gilberto Lovo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galaxia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galaxia FC had won after a very even match.
