After 4 played minutes, DJSC's Misael Bustamante shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Josue Nunes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DJSC reached it. Antonio Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ateos Unidos's zone, Christian Braun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josue Nunes came out of the goal and Christian Braun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Antonio Medina notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of DJSC's Deris Aguirrez. Deris Aguirrez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benji Fernandez during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, DJSC's Benji Fernandez got a free kick in the 25th minute. Allan Gutierrez, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind DJSC's goalkeeper Deris Aguirrez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexis Parada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josue Nunes having to interfere. Alexis Parada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josue Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, DJSC's Christian Braun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josue Nunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deris Aguirrez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Medina in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Braun to make the kick off. Antonio Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deris Aguirrez having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Victor Batres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Deris Aguirrez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th match minute, DJSC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Misael Bustamante to maneuver through the defense. DJSC's Deris Aguirrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Gutierrez in the 65th minute of play. Deris Aguirrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Batres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Deris Aguirrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Christian Braun fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Josue Nunes, passed just outside the right post. In the 75th minute, Ateos Unidos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alexis Parada fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Ateos Unidos getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Saul Vinosis hit a great ball. Ateos Unidos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Christian Braun scored to the left of an out of position Josue Nunes, making the score, 2-1. Victor Batres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Deris Aguirrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 85th minute of the match Benji Fernandez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benji Fernandez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Victor Batres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 played minutes DJSC got a freekick which was hit by Wilber Mondragon. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ateos Unidos had won after a very even match.
