Spectators: 6831 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1831, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roberto Villalobos started the match with the kick off. Roberto Villalobos struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Rene Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpia. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Josue Quijada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redruth City's supporters rose to their feet, but Josue Quijada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Santamaria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Murgas in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Santamaria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Omar Navas kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Cristian Santamaria came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Redruth City's Raúl Murgas. But to his dismay, Raúl Murgas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, Gilberto Salazar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olimpia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Redruth City the free kick. The supporters of Redruth City booed when Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Salazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roberto Villalobos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edgar Ramirez came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Olimpia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Ramirez couldn't finish the play. In the 46th match minute, Redruth City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benji Barquero to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raúl Murgas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Rodriguez. Cristian Santamaria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Orozco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Redruth City booed when Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Navas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Josue Quijada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 74 minutes, Josue Quijada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redruth City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josue Quijada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Murgas in the 75th minute of play forced Olimpia's goalkeeper Cristian Santamaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Jaime Lovo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgar Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Cruz having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Olimpia's Edgar Ramirez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rene Cruz. Rene Cruz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A collision led to Olimpia getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Rony Sanchez hit a great ball. Rene Cruz came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Olimpia's Edgar Ramirez. But to his dismay, Edgar Ramirez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 97 minutes into the match, Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Josue Quijada came free, but Cristian Santamaria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
