Spectators: 6840 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Raúl Murgas kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portreath FC's goalkeeper Hector Palencia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Josue Quijada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Redruth City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Redruth City getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Carlos Orozco hit a great ball. Rene Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Ribeiro in the 13th minute of the match. Rene Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Ribeiro in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Redruth City's Misael Hidalgo got a free kick in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Redruth City's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Ribeiro came free, but Rene Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jorge Alas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Omar Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rene Cruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Redruth City's zone, Omar Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Cruz came out of the goal and Omar Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Alas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rene Cruz having to make a save. In the 35th minute, Max Mendez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 38th minute, Jorge Alas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rene Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Alas, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Rene Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Alas in the 45th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Redruth City defense, Jorge Alas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rene Cruz. The Redruth City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Cruz should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Josue Quijada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omar Ribeiro in the 56th minute. Omar Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rene Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Henry Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Ribeiro got free with Rene Cruz in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hector Palencia came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Redruth City's Raúl Murgas. But to his dismay, Raúl Murgas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Raúl Murgas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Alas in the 81st minute of play. If Raúl Murgas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portreath FC's Max Mendez got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th match minute, Redruth City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Orozco to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Carlos Orozco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Redruth City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Portreath FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
