Isaac Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Marcelo Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Parada having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Ulises Guzman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Primitivo Parada, 1-0. Max Viscarra's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Primitivo Parada skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Isaac Carballo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ulises Guzman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Max Viscarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Parada having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Omar Ventura during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 minutes, Max Viscarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real España and the Reggae Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 played minutes Real España got a freekick which was hit by Max Viscarra. Sarbelio Canales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Ribeiro in the 35th minute of the match. Sarbelio Canales didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Ribeiro went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Henry Vasquez fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reggae Boys's protests and gave Henry Vasquez a yellow card for diving instead. If Henry Vasquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ulises Guzman made the kick off in the second half. Ulises Guzman struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Primitivo Parada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real España. Primitivo Parada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Viscarra in the 55th minute of play. After 55 minutes, Baltazar Gutierrez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reggae Boys and the Real España players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baltazar Gutierrez kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Reggae Boys got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Renderos. If Max Viscarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Max Viscarra came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Real España fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Viscarra couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Real España's zone, Isaac Carballo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sarbelio Canales came out of the goal and Isaac Carballo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Vasquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Sarbelio Canales made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Reggae Boys's Hugo Ribeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. With his leg Sarbelio Canales managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Reggae Boys's Henry Vasquez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 95 played minutes Real España got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Llorente. The Reggae Boys supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Reggae Boys would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
