But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Serrano couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Coreas to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Primitivo Alferez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dymchurch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Armando Coreas fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. If Christian Cerritos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Primitivo Alferez put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jorge Espindola. After having played for 88 minutes, Luis Serrano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bayern United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Serrano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Dymchurch were the better team. Dymchurch's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
