Jorge Espindola was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Marcos Menjivar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcos Menjivar really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolás Olmedo got free with Jorge Espindola in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armando Coreas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Leopoldo Padilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Orobio's late challenge caught a FC Bayern United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Orobio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, East Dereham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Orobio to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Bayern United booed when East Dereham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd match minute, East Dereham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Huezo to maneuver through the defense. FC Bayern United's Oscar Villanueva couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for East Dereham FC. Armando Coreas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leopoldo Padilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. If Luis Serrano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 minutes, Luis Serrano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bayern United and the East Dereham FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in East Dereham FC's zone, Armando Coreas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Padilla came out of the goal and Armando Coreas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emiliano Fuentes kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Nicolás Olmedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Espindola having to interfere. In the 46th minute Luis Serrano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Padilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Menjivar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Serrano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Nicolás Olmedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Espindola was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Luis Serrano took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Padilla. Leopoldo Padilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Nicolás Olmedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Espindola having to interfere. Marcos Menjivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Oscar Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Bayern United's protests and gave Oscar Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Bayern United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Oscar Paredes hit a great ball. Armando Coreas was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to East Dereham FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Pablo Villacorta hit a great ball. Jorge Espindola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Menjivar in the 87th minute of play. Nicolás Olmedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of FC Bayern United's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC Bayern United may have spent more time on the ball, but East Dereham FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
