After 13 played minutes, East Dereham FC's Pablo Villacorta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabio Suarez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in East Dereham FC reached it. Benji Carballo's late challenge caught a East Dereham FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benji Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benji Carballo to strike the kick off in the second half. Edwin Cruz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leopoldo Padilla. East Dereham FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mauricio Calderon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute of the match Leonel Magaña sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Padilla skillfully saved the ball. East Dereham FC's Leopoldo Padilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save East Dereham FC from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Padilla didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Club Olimpia Fc's Benji Carballo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Benji Carballo put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Leopoldo Padilla. When Shawn Talia fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Olimpia Fc's protests and gave Shawn Talia a yellow card for diving instead.
