When Lorenzo Arango came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Beaconsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Arango couldn't finish the play. Milton Zepeda kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Lorenzo Arango might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lorenzo Arango ran back to his position shaking his head. If Lorenzo Arango had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Arango recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Arango in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Cruz saved Marathón from getting behind. After some careless play in the Marathón defense, Lorenzo Arango kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Cruz. The Marathón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Cruz should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Max Dubons short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Fabio Cruz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fabio Cruz stood somewhat misplaced when Max Dubon came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 58 minute. Fabio Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Arango, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Marathón's Fabio Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Marathón from getting a goal against them. Max Dubon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Arango in the 69th minute of play. Nelson Melendez might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nelson Melendez ran back to his position shaking his head. Lorenzo Arango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Fabio Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Dubon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Beaconsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Max Dubon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Arango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fabio Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Max Dubon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beaconsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4.
