After a rather tough play, CD San Pedro Sula's Humberto Torres got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Edgardo Brizuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amilcar Mejia having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Arturo Contrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD San Pedro Sula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Contrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgardo Brizuela struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Amilcar Mejia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LibertØs FC. Ivan Ortiz made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CD San Pedro Sula's Zelvin Gutierrez. Amilcar Mejia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Brizuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 38th match minute, LibertØs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Brizuela to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Brizuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Amilcar Mejia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amilcar Mejia made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Rony Morales sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute, Rony Morales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amilcar Mejia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when William Guevara made the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Paz made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jonathan Hidalgo. Amilcar Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Brizuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edgardo Brizuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Rony Morales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amilcar Mejia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match, William Guevara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roberto Figueroa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edgardo Brizuela scored 4-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amilcar Mejia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. LibertØs FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CD San Pedro Sula for a fine match.
