The Bahia Azul fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Bahia Azul's Doido De Maré looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edwin Lozano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Eraldo García suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 20 minutes, Cristian Huezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahia Azul and the Stonehouse players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Stonehouse booed when Bahia Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Huezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doido De Maré in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Ventura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute, Doido De Maré left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bahia Azul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. The audience was convinced that Doido De Maré's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Ventura was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. If Rolando Jimenez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes of play, Bahia Azul's Doido De Maré made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Ventura was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doido De Maré stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Bahia Azul's Doido De Maré nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Ventura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Doido De Maré's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Ventura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doido De Maré in the 63rd minute of play forced Stonehouse's goalkeeper Victor Ventura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Doido De Maré's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Ventura was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Doido De Maré received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Victor Ventura came out and tried to block the shot, but Doido De Maré slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 73rd minute. With splendid footwork Doido De Maré arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-11 by the left pole in the game's 77th minute. When Ronald Botello came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Bahia Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronald Botello couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Stonehouse's Victor Ventura got control of the ball when Doido De Maré tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Doido De Maré reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victor Ventura. The goal made the score 0-12. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doido De Maré got free with Victor Ventura in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 91 minutes of play, Bahia Azul's Ronald Botello made it 0-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Ventura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victor Ventura came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Bahia Azul's Doido De Maré. But to his dismay, Doido De Maré quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-15. The Stonehouse fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bahia Azul were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
