Orlando Carballo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Nyström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Ramirez in the 45th minute of play forced Rio Bulgaria FC's goalkeeper Henry Nyström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Sopa de Caracol FC's Orlando Palma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
