In the 30th minute Leopoldo Pedrozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Freeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Castro in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Red Star's Aaron Freeman got control of the ball when Ignacio Mendiko tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Luis Ayala put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in ISAÍAS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Luizão Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes of play, Red Star's Luisito Barros made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luizão Alves was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Aaron Freeman managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when ISAÍAS's Ignacio Mendiko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisito Barros to make the kick off. Ignacio Mendiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Aaron Freeman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Remo Sá hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Cláudio Jesus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luizão Alves. ISAÍAS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Pedrozo in the 74th minute of play forced ISAÍAS's goalkeeper Luizão Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Red Star's Luizão Alves threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abílio Assis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bogdan Bartocha hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Red Star made a substitution. Abraham Machado replaced Luisito Barros. If Ignacio Mendiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ignacio Mendiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, ISAÍAS's Remo Sá got a free kick in the 90th minute. Red Star's Petru Cismaș was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luizão Alves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
