Ludlow's Edgar Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Chavez in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute Gabriel Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Berrueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ludlow's zone, Fidel Sigaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Rey came out of the goal and Fidel Sigaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Gabriel Alvarez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juan Berrueta. The goal made the score 1-2. Gabriel Alvarez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Berrueta having to make a save. Richard Rivas hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Fidel Sigaran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Edgar Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Ludlow got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Llorente. 77 minutes into the match, Ludlow's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Sigaran came free, but Edgar Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Grays AFC's Angel Coria got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ludlow's Gabriel Alvarez got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ludlow's Edgar Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Chavez in the 87th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Victor Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ludlow and the Grays AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Fidel Sigaran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grays AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Sigaran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Rey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
