A nice corner shot did that Victorino Bonilla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jairo Alvarado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pedro Villanueva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jhonnatan Gallardo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Emerson Posadas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Collado in the 25th minute of play forced Cove AFC's goalkeeper Jairo Alvarado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cove AFC's Esteban Olmedo was substituted for Jose Zelaya. Jairo Alvarado made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Emerson Posadas sent off a good shot on target. Jairo Alvarado was a little too slow when Arnoldo Collado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 45th minute, Clitheroe's Miguel Ulloa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jairo Alvarado. Jairo Alvarado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Miguel Ulloa hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Cove AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Collado came free, but Jairo Alvarado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Villanueva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Richard Gallardo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Cove AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Gallardo couldn't finish the play. If Pedro Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cove AFC's goalkeeper Jairo Alvarado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Emerson Posadas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jairo Alvarado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Salvador Mendoza with Miguel Ulloa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Richard Gallardo put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cove AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Jairo Alvarado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Posadas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Clitheroe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cove AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
