The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efren Martinez during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Saltburn-by-the-sea's Efren Martinez got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Marvin Montes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kinlet's Mariano Amaya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Félix Uranga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Selvin Zelaya when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Saltburn-by-the-sea were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
