Edgar Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selvin Zelaya having to interfere. Selvin Zelaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Corrales in the 6th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Edgar Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chorleywood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Mendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Corrales might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Selvin Zelaya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Corrales ran back to his position shaking his head. Chorleywood's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Raúl Campos scored to the left of an out of position Oswaldo Torres, making the score, 1-0. After having played for 32 minutes, Marvin Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saltburn-by-the-sea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marvin Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Saltburn-by-the-sea's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Mendez came free, but Selvin Zelaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Marcos Corrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selvin Zelaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marvin Montes made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Saltburn-by-the-sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Alferez to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Corrales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Corrales's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Selvin Zelaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Saltburn-by-the-sea's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Corrales came free, but Selvin Zelaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Mendezs short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Selvin Zelaya to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Oswaldo Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marvin Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Raúl Campos struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Oswaldo Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saltburn-by-the-sea. A collision led to Chorleywood getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Marcos Villalobos hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Marcos Corrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selvin Zelaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marvin Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Saltburn-by-the-sea's Raúl Campos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo Torres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Marcos Corrales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saltburn-by-the-sea were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chorleywood for a fine match.
