Amilcar Barragan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Menjivar in the 5th minute of play forced Gerrards Cross FC's goalkeeper Mauro Del Carmen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldir Bonilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Vinosis, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some careless play in the Tingley defense, Christian Alvarenga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir Bonilla. The Tingley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Bonilla should have stopped the shot. Marcelo Orellana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Waldir Bonilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldir Bonilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Alvarenga in the 27th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Tingley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Umaña to maneuver through the defense. If Gilberto Menjivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute of the match Eraldo Vinosis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldir Bonilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tingley's Waldir Bonilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Alvarenga in the 43rd minute of play. When Jonathan Ancheta fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tingley's protests and gave Jonathan Ancheta a yellow card for diving instead. Marcelo Orellana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Waldir Bonilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Alvarenga to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Gerrards Cross FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Menjivar. The supporters of Tingley booed when Gerrards Cross FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Del Carmen was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Gilberto Menjivar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gilberto Menjivar really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Ronald Padilla kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Amilcar Barragan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Mauro Del Carmen made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Gerrards Cross FC's Alvaro Ventura got a free kick in the 74th minute. Amilcar Barragan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Tingley's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Orellana came free, but Waldir Bonilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Marcelo Orellana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Bonilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Orlando Mayen fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gerrards Cross FC's protests and gave Orlando Mayen a yellow card for diving instead. Ladislao Paredes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauro Del Carmen. Gerrards Cross FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. During the 94th minute of the match Orlando Mayen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Orlando Mayen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Orlando Mayen kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 99th minute of the match Tingley got a corner. Gerrards Cross FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ladislao Paredes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Victor Umaña heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
